Pear and Gorgonzola Crostini

Pear and Gorgonzola Crostini

Sweet, salty, and elegant, these balance the heavier party foods beautifully. Pears keep things safely away from peach and apple territory while still feeling perfectly autumnal.

Makes 16 crostini · 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 16 rounds
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz gorgonzola, crumbled

  2. Top each toast with 2 to 3 pear slices and a crumble of gorgonzola.
  3. Return to the oven 3 to 4 minutes, just until the cheese softens.
  4. Drizzle with honey, finish with cracked pepper, and serve warm.
