Midnight Margaritas

Midnight margaritas, made the way the Owens sisters would approve: strong, fresh, and mixed with feeling. The black salt rim is our Halloween nod. As the movie insists, there are some things you do for fun at midnight, and this is one of them.

Makes 4 cocktails · 10 minutes

Ingredients

• 8 oz blanco tequila
• 4 oz fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
• 2 oz orange liqueur
• 2 tablespoons agave nectar
• Black sea salt, for the rim
• Lime wheels, for garnish
• Ice

Instructions

1. Run a lime wedge around the rims of four glasses and dip in black sea salt.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave.
3. Shake hard for 15 seconds until well chilled.
4. Strain over fresh ice in the rimmed glasses, garnish with lime wheels, and serve at midnight, obviously.
